He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther McCollum and Dolly McCollum (Doss); his siblings, Carl, Opal, Ocie and Margie; and his granddaughter Rebecca.
He is survived by: his son Thirl McCollum; his grandchildren, Wess, Brady, Joey, Andy, Josh and Jared; his daughter June Schneider-Aishman (Tom); his grandchildren, James, Emily, Lacy, Ollie, Charles, Nick, Luke, Marcus and Sally; his daughter D. J. Yakley (Sam); and his siblings, Jewel McCollum Anderson, Henry and Voyt McCollum.
