He is survived by: his wife Cathy Shipmon (Nichols); his children, Elizabeth, Willie, Joshua and Daniel; his stepdaughters, Tammy Hobson and Elizabeth Miller; and his siblings, Betty Jo, Wanda, Brenda, Carolyn, Phyllis and Wade Snell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
