He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Daugherty and Laura Daugherty (Slaven); his brother James Daugherty; his great grandchild Jaxson Matthew Pitts; and his pets, Star and Lady.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Randy; his wife Emma Daugherty (Williams); his sons, Larry Dale Pitts and Michael Pitts (Sonya); his grandchildren, Lacey Pitts, Johnathon Pitts (Candace), Samantha Brown (Andy), Matthew Pitts (Meagan), Michael Jay Pitts (Dani) and Tanner Pitts (Kassidy); and his sisters, Maxine Smith (Benford) and Faye Lawrence.
