He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Brackett and Dorothy Louise Brackett (Stanislawski); his children, Stephen Brackett of Columbia and Carrie Brackett; and his siblings, Ronnie Brackett, Linda Sellars and Vicky Brackett.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Smith (Ronnie) of Independence and Abby Albright of Burns, Wyoming; his grandchildren, Anna Smith of Independence, Zac Smith of Independence and Gray Albright of Burns, Wyoming; his great grandchildren, Ava Smith of Independence, Luca Smith of Independence, Xander Smith of Independence and Kinsley Smith of Independence, Missouri; and his siblings, Michael Brackett of Henderson, Arkansas and Debra Walker (John) of Henderson, Arkansas. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
