He was predeceased by: his parents, Ary Remington and Florence Remington (Sandretzky); his daughter Kathryn Remington; and his brothers, Jack and Richard Remington (Judy).

He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Remington; his children, Duane Remington (Julie), Robert Remington Jr. (Robin), Barbara Remington and Cheryl McLaughlin (Michael); and his stepson Randy Coursolle. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
