He was predeceased by: his parents, William Anderson and Sarah Anderson (Smith); his wife Alyne M. Smith; his son Robert Eugene; his siblings, Gus, Emma, Maddie, Nancy, Evelyn, Opal, Cecil, Eddie and Delbert; and his adoptive father Johnny Morgeson.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Zelma Kay Birckelbaw (Gordon); and also Eve Morgeson. He is also survived by family and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paragould Children's Home in Paragould, AR.
