He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren J. Sutherland and Ruth Myrtle Sutherland (Charlie); his son Roger; and his siblings, Warren, Dennis, Jeannine Rapp and Ethel Phillips.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his son Jerry Wesley Sutherland (Christy) of Mountain Home; and his siblings, Patricia Mather (Dean) of Mountain Home, Juanita Scharig of Independence, MO and Larry Sutherland (Joanne) of Lone Jack, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; his church family and many loved friends.
