He was predeceased by: his parents, John Samuel and Dorothy Norene Waddell; his brother Albert Waddell; and his nephew William "Bill" Waddell. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hopper; his children, Leslie Stollenwerk of Springfield, Illinois and Peter Waddell of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his sisters, Jean Waddell of Ellijay and Susan Piscator (Paul); his grandchildren, Jacob Nussbaum, Autumn Corley (Bill) and Maya Stollenwerk; his great grandchild Bennett Corley; and his nieces and nephews, Robert Waddell, Tom Waddell, Susanne Waddell and Sandra Rivera.
