It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Refior in Mountain Home, Arkansas, born in Nappanee, Indiana, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Gene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Refior and Marie Refior; and his son-in-law Sid Boyle. He is survived by: his wife Linda Reese; his daughters, Kris Boyle and Terri Petitt (Don); his grandchildren, Rachel Scuglik (Aaron) and Zak Petitt (Abby); and his siblings, Paul (Pam), Wendall (Marla) and Donna Refior. He is also survived by 3 great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews.
