Carl James Bramblett Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl James "Tony" Bramblett, (of Oakland, Arkansas), who passed away on January 12, 2007, at the age of 71.
Tony was born September 20, 1935 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Marvin R. and Cora Lee (Cline) Bramblett. He married his 1st cousin and love of his life Nellie (Bramblett) Bramblett on Jan 21 1952 in Hedley, Texas. Tony fulfilled his childhood dreams of building a mountain & driving a coal burning train, in 1968 he moved his family to Florida where he worked at Six Gun Territory an amusement park where he built a massive false front mountain, 60 feet high and 250 feet long out of chicken wire and concrete an was the engineer of the coal burning train that brought patrons to the activities inside the park. He later became an entrepreneur and he raised cattle, buffalo and geese. He enjoyed fishing and his children and was a past member of the Moose Club. Tony & Nellie enjoyed 55 years of marriage before his passing.
Tony is survived by his wife Nellie Bramblett of the home; children: Alvin Bramblett (Tammy) of Navajo, AZ., Elizabeth O'Donald (David) of Mineral Wells, TX., Martha Moore of Bartlesville, OK., James Bramblett (Charlene) of Oakland, AR., Billy Bramblett of Cooksville, TN., Pete Bramblett of Oakland, AR., Walter Bramblett (Marcella) of Gassville, AR., and Angel Sperry (Ron) of Midway, AR; 21 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Billy Ray Bramlett (Artie Lou) of Valley View, TX; Sister: Juanita Brown of Brownwood, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Bobby Daniel, infant daughter Nelda Joyce and 12 brothers and sisters.
