She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Schmidt and Ramona Covert Schmidt; her son T. J. Dykes; her great grandchild Keith Morris; and her brothers, Steve Schmidt and Jim Schmidt.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Dykes of Mount Pleasant; her children, David Dykes (Angela) of Brockwell, Michael Dykes of Mount Pleasant and Jennifer Dykes of Salem; her siblings, Sue Kracht of Iowa, Bernie Seifert of Iowa, Joe Schmidt of Iowa, Teresa Drury of Iowa, John Kane of Iowa and Roxanne Hatfield; her grandchildren, David Dykes, Jr., Dylan Dykes, Morgan Smith, Paige Dykes, Alexus Cunningham, Wibur Roberts, Shayla Dykes, Keressa Campbell, Kaydie Campbell, Shyanne Empen, Angelia Brunner, Natalie Hatfield and Brantley McNich; and her great grandchildren, Evercynn Smith, Haisaly Dykes and Havyenn Smith. She is also survived by other relatives and many good friends.
