He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ballard and Dorothy Ballard (Martin); and his brothers, Danny, Billy, Albert, Randy and Arvie.
He is survived by: his children, Melanie Ballard of Mt. Judea, Joseph Aaron Ballard (Lorna) of Kansas and Tanggie Huffer of Indiana; his grandchildren, Haley, Alex, Tannance and Darreus; his siblings, Teri, Phyliss and Stevie; and his former wife Karen Bartle.
