He was predeceased by: his wife Blanch Maxwell; his parents, Cyrus Maxwell and Pearlie Ingram; his son Larry Maxwell; his grandchildren, Nathan Maxwell and Stephanie VanDalsen; and his siblings, Earl, CJ Maxwell, Don Ingram and Dorothy Willoughby.

He is survived by: his children, Doris VanDalsen (Carrol) of Conway and Ralph Maxwell of Oppelo; and his grandchildren, Sherman, Samantha, Timothy, Jennifer and Clayton.
