He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Kaufman and Louise Kaufman of St. Vincent. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Nelson Kaufman of Cleveland; his children, Jason (Jane Kaufman), Brittany (Zachary Singleton), Amber Kaufman of St. Vincent and Emily (Richard Woodall); his grandchildren, Noah Kaufman, Bo Kaufman, Adelaide Woodall and Lee Woodall; his sibling Drs; and his aunt Elizabeth Thines of Morrilton.
