He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Carl Poteete and Willie Mae Huett Poteete; his siblings, Charlie, David Poteete, Linda Poteete, Sandy Cook, Betty Trevino and Frankie Skinner; and his father-in-law Gene DeSalvo.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle DeSalvo Poteete; his daughters, Heather Newsome (Derrick) of Morrilton and Haley Lynch (Daniel) of Morrilton; his grandchildren, Kendrick, Tylee Newsome, DJ and Addie Lynch; his mother-in-law Betty DeSalvo; and his brothers, Kenneth Mahan of Morrilton, Cecil Ray Poteete (Regina) of Center Ridge, Carl Poteete (Ann) of Overcup and Ben Poteete (Rhonda) of Morrilton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws.
