He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Drilling (Schaefers) and C. W. Drilling; his sister Christine Thessing (Honey); his brother-in-law David Thessing; his sister Joan Drilling; and his brother-in-law Bill Malone.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie Drilling (Malone); his brother Charles; his sisters-in-law, Ellen Malone and Sandra Malone; his children, Mark Drilling (Kim) of Conway, Amy Hoyt (Todd) of Morrilton, David Drilling (Heather) of Morrilton and Jon Drilling (Stacy) of Morrilton; his pet Gigi; his grandchildren, Kevin Harwell (Lori), Lance Harwell (Amber), Lindsey McConnell (John Bryant), Taylor Hoyt (Austyn Brown), Adam Hoyt (Teal), Ben, Jack, Dayton, Phillip and Ethan Drilling; and his great grandchildren, Baylea Johnson, Brandon Harwell, Natalie Yates (Chris), Kelvin Baker, Lex Harwell, Amy Claire and Anna Catherine McConnell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either Sacred Heart Church or Sacred Heart School.
