It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Woods of Montrose, Arkansas, born in Portland, Arkansas, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William "Sonnyman" Woods; her daughter Joyce "Pam" Woods; her grandchildren, Courtney Woods and William O'Brian Woods; her great grandchild Laiken Woods; her parents, Armetta Comer of Washington and Isom Comer; her siblings, Margaret Scott, Robert Earl Matthews and John "Bo" Matthews; and her daughter-in-law Ella Woods.
She is survived by: her children, Emma Woods, Vernestine Holmes (Ray), Vanessa Hoffman of Montrose, AR, Larry Woods Sr., William Woods Jr. of Lake Village, AR and Arletha Jordan of Crossett, AR; her grandchildren, Regina Martin, Ronald Martin (Chandra), Marcus Johnson (Keychira), Dextral Woods (Linda), Kenyon Woods, Santresa Brown-Sanders (Robert), Landriel Woods, Cre-Shunda Williams, Christopher Holmes, Janeva White, Brittany Woods, Larry Woods Jr. and Janet Hoffman; and her siblings, Harry Polite of Monticello, AR, Sammie Polite (Ella) of Portland, AR and Isom Comer (Margaret) of Compton, CA. She is also survived by 35 great- grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
