He was predeceased by: his parents, J. R. Johnson and Dovie Chance Johnson; his son David; his grandson Justin; his siblings, Johnny and Ivanell; and his niece Rachael.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Cardin Johnson of Monticello; his children, Angie Patterson (Fred) of McGehee, Wendy Johnson (Bubba Roper) of Monticello, Jeremy Johnson (Amanda) of Monticello and William Johnson (Brittaney) of Monticello; and his siblings, Brenda Pickens (Roy) of Star City and Roger Johnson of Star City.
