She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Carroll Gibbs; her children, Rhonda Hankins and Phillip Burks; her sisters, Pat Jackson, Betty Norton, Nancy Sipes and Joyce Abernathy; and her niece Jeri Taylor.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Vince Sellers, Lowell Ladd, Roy Ladd (Dedride), Asa Hankins, Zach Hankins, Hannah Palmer (Dewayne) and Savannah Hankins; and her pet Peanut. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
