He was predeceased by: his parents, Geral R. Bates, Sr. and Alice Rose Sawyer Bates. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Ramsey Bates of Monticello; his stepchildren, Wayne Uloth Bates of Arizona, Dennis Lee Bates of Florida and Mandy Michelle Bates Reaves of Florida; and his grandchildren, Taylor Ann Bates, Samantha Reaves, Jarrod Bates, Nova Bates and Cora Bates.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
