She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Jerome and Madge Pelham Deatherage; and her siblings, Rendel Deatherage, Harold Deatherage, Hermas Deatherage, Shirley Morgan and Carmen Eply.
She is survived by: her husband James Edward Brown of Monticello; her daughter Sherry Ann Brown of Monticello; her grandchildren, Magen Polk (Brandon) and Joshua David Strickland; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Asarisi, Connor Asarisi, Jayden Strickland, Makayla Polk, EmberLynn Strickland, Braydon Polk and Keison McCree.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Valley Cemetery (125 Gees Landing Rd, Wilmar, AR 71675).
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Monticello Senior Citizens Center.
