He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Harrison Brown of Star City and Preston Earl Carter of Monticello. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Carter of Monticello; his children, Johnny Carter (Juana) of Monticello, Shannon Carter of Monticello, Cody Cheshire (Kaylei) of Wilmar, Clay Cheshire (Becca) of Monticello and Dennia Beard (Marcus) of Little Rock; his grandchildren, Hunter Carter of Monticello, Hayden Carter of Monticello, Dalton Pharr of Monticello, Draydon Pharr of Monticello, River Carter of Monticello, Rohen Carter of Monticello, Madeline Cheshire of Monticello, Anni Cheshire of Wilmar, Sadie Beard and Charlotte Beard of Little Rock; and his siblings, Wanda St. John of Star City, Larry Carter of Monticello, Carl Carter of Higdon, Debbie Bennett (Tony) of Warren and Ellen Carter of Star City. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Service (811 N Lincoln Ave, Star City, AR 71667). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Home (811 N Lincoln Ave, Star City, AR 71667).
