He was predeceased by: his nephew Ricky Hammock. He is survived by: his sons, Darrell Meier and Dusty Meier (Heather) of Collins; his father A. J. Meier of Monticello; his siblings, Monty Meier (Mammie) of Monticello, Becky Hammock (Charlie) of Monticello and Marsha Chapman (Sissy) of Washington State; his grandchildren, Faith and Dan; the mother of his children Kimberly Octavo of Monticello; and his close friends, Donna Myers, Sandy Ogles, Jim Mull, Darrell "Grip" Bauknight, Chris Hales and Mark Bayird. He is also survived by three nieces, three nephews, five great nieces and three great nephews.
