He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Barnes and Bernice Adair Barnes; his sister Lela Faye Summers; his aunt Agnes; and his uncle Thomas Adair.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Maxwell Barnes of Monticello; his daughter Melissa K. Kinnaird (Chuck) of Fountain Hill; his sister Frankie Jo Sumner; his brother-in-law J. P. Sumner of Searcy; his grandsons, Brad Johnson (Kristie) and Cole Nash; his great grandchildren, Kaylie and Kamden Johnson; and his cousin Sue Bailey (Eddie).
