As Barbara Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara Jean leaves behind.
She is survived by: her parents, Sheila McLearen and Ralph Barnes; her birth mother Sheila Foster of Little Rock; her adoptive mother Linda Rose Hayes Barnes of Monticello; and her aunts, Regina Stout of Little Rock, Kay Garganeous of Georgia and Marilyn Hogue of Monticello.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
