He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Blanton and Anabelle Bates Blanton; and his siblings, Don Blanton (Corrine), Marian Heeseman (Otto), Lydia "Lavergne" Bodlovich (Paul) and Florence Braun (Warren).
He is survived by: his wife Donna Bayless Blanton; his sons, Bruce Blanton (Connie) of Owensboro, KY and David Blanton (Michelle) of Humboldt, TN.; his grandchildren, Alex Blanton Strain (Steven), Will Blanton (Haley), Samantha Blanton Spickard (Matt) and Andy Blanton; and his great grandchild Jake Clyde Strain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, The American Cancer Society, or Promise Land Cemetery Association.
