He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Whitman and Laura Bidinger Whitman; his siblings, Stanley Whitman, Joseph Whitman, Jean Fox, Monica Reynolds and Barbara Sage; and his great grandchild Paxton Crook.
He is survived by: his former wife Gertrude Alice Law Whitman; his wife Trudy Whitman; his daughters, Diana K. Beckman of Mena and Debbie Joe Garroutte of New Blaine, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Danniell Johnson and Dustin James Tantillo (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Dillon and Kamden Tantillo; his siblings, Dennis Whitman, Earl Whitman, Agnes Connett, Shirley LeClaire and Edna Cameron; and his close friends, Tom Brough, Tom Deters, Greg Fuller and Marvin Beckman.
