He is survived by: his wife Dovie Thacker; and his children, Diane (Charles Billings), Becky, Abe Austin of McCarney, Debbie (Tony Youmans), Marty (Shiela Thacker) and Ron (Tonya Thacker). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
