He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Peggy McPherson; and his children, Pam Dillon, Brenda Jackson, Susan Green, Vicky Heitz, Frank McPherson, Jr. and Jerry McPherson. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
