He was predeceased by: his parents, James Curtis McChristian and Thurza Shreve McChristian; his brother James Curtis McChristian, Jr.; his sister-in-law Kay Clark; his niece Sylvia Kacos; his nephew Quentin McCutchen; and his granddaughter Cassondra Riddle.
He is survived by: his wife Flora Lee McChristian of Mena; his daughters, Liz Kennedy (Steve) of Bedford and Laura Riddle (Don) of Texarkana; and his sister Virginia "Ginger" McCutchen of Fort Smith. He is also survived by four nieces, six grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
