It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Dockins Porterfield of Melbourne, Arkansas, born in Viola, Arkansas, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Lorne Dockins and Ora Lee Yancey Dockins; her husband Alan David Porterfield; and her daughter Gail Marie Sanders. She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Hutson of Bethesda, Deloris Gray of Melbourne, Jequita Crider (Jesse) of Melbourne and Vicki Burge (Max) of Cave City; her siblings, Bennie Dockins of Washington, Velman Dockins of Independence, Norman Dockins of Independence, Karry Dockins of Oxford, Larry Dockins of Brockwell, Merle Allen of Missouri, Ann Hellums of Missouri and June Dickerson of Brockwell; and her son-in-law Billy Rex Sanders of Dolph. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
