It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Winfree Beene of Melbourne, Arkansas, who passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Winfree and Amy E. Eakin Winfree. She is survived by: her children, Renee McCollum of Salem, Michelle McCollum (Doyle) of Melbourne and Donnie Byram (Roxanne) of Melbourne; her sisters, Charlene Cornelius of West Fork and Gerldean Hammond of South Haven, Mississippi; her close friend Steve Chapman of Norfork; her grandchildren, Lasha Fite (Todd), Mandy Brooks (Bradley), Joe McCollum, Ashton Smith (Lance), Shelbie Bryam, Charlee Jo Parker (Ethan), Cody Cooper (Sage), Kelly Skidmore (Alex) and Carma Byram; and her great grandchildren, Lilah Fite, Kylie Brooks, Clay Brooks, Lynleigh Stapleton, Maverick Day, Memphys Smith, Jett Smith, Clare Cooper, Collins Cooper and Jera Skidmore. She is also survived by other relatives and many good friends.
