It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Jefferson Guthrie of Melbourne, Arkansas, who passed away on December 1, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Walter Guthrie and Laura Maude Tomlinson Guthrie; his wife Bessie Cooper; his children, Linda Guthrie Smith, Wayne Byler and Ted Guthrie; his siblings, Bill Guthrie, Bob Guthrie, Val Blum and Faye Peckham; and his grandchildren, Garrett Smith, Brad Brewer and Amy Fairchild.
He is survived by: his children, Juanice Brewer (David) of Batesville, Nancy Gillihan of Batesville, Walter Guthrie (Becky) of Hollister and Fred Woods (Marcia) of Gresham, Oregon; his daughter-in-law Marsha Guthrie of Fairbanks, Alaska; his sisters, Shirley Hill of Melbourne, Arkansas and Betty McCollum of Melbourne, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Jeff Brewer (Jane) of Hillsboro, Kansas, Keith Gillihan (Cindy) of Batesville, Arkansas, Jennifer Gillihan of Batesville, Arkansas, Jarrod Guthrie, Josh Guthrie, Meghan Guthrie of Portland, Oregon, Sarah Matlack (Alec) of McMinnville, Oregon, Brook Sutterfield (Randy) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, Grant Guthrie of Denver, Colorado, Cally Basner (Dylan) of Yuma, Arizona, Sam Woods (Bri) and Elizabeth Woods of Boring, Oregon. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
