She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Gillihan and Verlie Mae Smith Gillihan; her husband Robert Cleveland Blankenship; her siblings, Boyce (Frances), Shelby (Sharon), Junior (Opal), George, Clifton (Melba) and Katherine Phipps (Tom); and her granddaughter Charlotte Tankersley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lois Pearson (Carroll) of Gurdon, Pat McCurley (Keith) of Wideman and Martha Wilkerson (Danny) of Melbourne; her grandchildren, Tina Martin (Robert), Melissa Pennington (Mitch), Travis Wilkerson and Lacey Johnson (Heath); and her sister-in-law Janette Gillihan. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Combs Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
