He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garland Morgan and Emma Tatum Morgan; his spouse Burl E.; his stepson Gary Gifford; his siblings, Lavoun Reeves and James Morgan; his stepgrandchildren, Gary Blane Gifford and Terri Kennedy; and his stepdaughter-in-law Diane Gifford.
He is survived by: his stepson Robert Gifford of Melbourne; his sister Wanda "Billie" Lee of Horseshoe Bend; his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Gifford Helms of Russellville, Juliet Gifford of Idaho, Laurie Gifford of Melbourne and Lorraine Johnson of Nevada; his nieces, Shirley Hill, Dottie Harris, Linda Sue Terry and Emma Faye Creighton; his nephew Eddie Morgan; and his stepdaughter-in-law Pam Gifford of Texas. He is also survived by numerous step great grandchildren and great great step grandchildren.
