He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Spence and Mora Lu Lane Spence of Sylvania, Arkansas.; his brother Ronnie Spence; and his grandparents, Ernie, Birdie Allison Spence, Ernest and Emma McCree Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Poindexter Spence; his daughters, Erica Darden of McRae and Kristy Spence; his caregiver Ashlynn McCoy of Searcy, Arkansas; and his siblings, Shelba Dixon (Dearl) of Austin, Arkansas, Tina Paintin (Patrick) of Cabot, Arkansas and Donald Spence (Donna) of Beebe, Arkansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
