He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Cecil and Winifred Louise Dowling (Bissell); his son Daniel "Dan" Dowling; his siblings, Gerald Dowling, Carl Dowling, Jr., Berry Dowling, Thomas Newton Dowling and Roger Dale Dowling; his wife Brenda Dowling of McNeil; his daughter Carrie Christenson (Mark) of Taylor; his grandchildren, Dante Christenson and Faron Christenson of Taylor; his sister Jo Ellen Millican (D.) of Magnolia; and his brother-in-law Charles Doss (Annette) of McNeil. He was also cherished by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
