He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Gerald Taylor and Alvanette Johnston Gates; his brother Rupert "Buddy" Taylor; his wife Alice Sexton Taylor; his stepfather R. L. Gates of Warren, AR; his children, Jonathan Higginbotham of Batesville, AR, Brandon Taylor (Christina Jones) of Kelso, AR, Christine Storey (Zachary) of Greenwood, MS, Chasity Mixon (Andrew) of Kelso, AR and Leann Taylor of McGehee, AR; and his brothers, Keith Gates of Warren, AR, Joe Taylor (Thea) of Burleson and Mike Taylor (Robin) of Enola, AR. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren.
