He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gilbert Fortenberry; his sons, Todd Fortenberry of McGehee and Carlton "Stoney" Fortenberry (Krista) of Helena; his siblings, Melvin Fortenberry of Booneville, Audrey Young of El Dorado and Linda Munnerlyn (Jimmy) of Dumas; his granddaughters, Stephanie Tubbs (Zach) of Bastrop, LA., Shelby Fortenberry of Monticello, Kelley Fortenberry and Caroline Fortenberry of Helena; and his great grandchild John Ross Tubbs of Bastrop. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the McGehee Branch Public Library, 211 N. 4th Street, McGehee, AR 71654.
