He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter B. Emerson, Sr. and Pearl Emerson; his wife Clara Faye Emerson; his brothers, O'Neal Emerson, Hassel Earl Emerson and Douglas Emerson; and his grandchildren, Lillie Pauline and Kenley Marie.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Anderson (Jeff), Brenda Scott (Bobby), Jerri Ann Miller (Lonnie), Vicki DeWitt (Greg) and Jerry Emerson, Jr. (Holly); and his brother Walter B. Emerson, Jr.. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
