He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Robert Garrett and Eula Garrett (Hollaway); his former wives, Evie Garrett, Paulette Garrett and Virginia Elms Garrett; and his siblings, Bubba Gene Garrett, Billy McCluskey, Ronnie Dale Garrett and Sally Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Susie McManners; his children, Bud Garrett, Paul Burgess (Brenda), Lisa Pester (Scott), Theresa Marie DeArman, Marcella Cartney (Michael), Sherry Egleston (Perry) and Dacra Melendez; and his siblings, Douglas Garrett and Donna Gail Robertson. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
