He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Leon Watson Sr. of Nashville, AR and Ruby Jane Watson of Hope, AR. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Watson of Maumelle; his children, Clark Watson (Brittany) of Little Rock, AR and Elizabeth Mangrum (Jeremy) of Maumelle; his grandsons, Joseph, Leo and George Watson of Little Rock; his aunt Johnie Odom (Brint) of Hope, AR; and his cousins, Shari Bryan (Darlene) of Alexander, AR and Shannon Huckabee of Texarkana, TX. He is also survived by many brother and sister in laws.

He fought bravely for almost 10 years with the horrible disease of Early Onset Alzheimer's but always had a smile for everyone he encountered.
