He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred H. Bethea and Margie Culpepper Bethea; his children, Howard and Staci Bethea Moody; and his brothers-in-law, Leroy Brooks and Kenny Granger.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Bethea; his siblings, Bill Bethea (Denise) of Conway, Christy Nouzovsky (Dean) of Woodlawn and Nova Brooks of Manhattan, KS; and his sister-in-law Carla Cummings (David) of Pine Bluff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
