He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thompson and Ethel Miller Thompson; his stepmother Mae Galbraith Thompson; and his siblings, Eileen Moore and Samuel W. Thompson.
He is survived by: his former wife Flora Lee Casey; his wife Lee Thompson; his children, Dr. T. T. Tyler Thompson, Rev. Davis Thompson (Laura), Lee Anne Thompson Berson (Greg) and Vikki Thompson Hamilton (Steve); his grandchildren, Andy Hamilton (Amber), Suzanne Barnard (Russ), Casey Loftus (John), Mikelle Elliott (Jeremiah), Meridith Berson, Bailey Hamilton (Devon), Colby Hamilton and Dawson Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte Barnard, Nathaniel Barnard, Willow Ross, Jacob Loftus, Cora Loftus, Hannah Loftus, Margo Elliott and Everett Hamilton Mr.
