We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2022, at the age of 85, Leon Cooper (Marshall, Arkansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Columbus Cooper and Lena Maye Wright Cooper; his wife Carlene Cooper; his daughter Teresa Gail Johnson; and his grandson Nathan Leon Rains.

He is survived by: his children, Natasha Grinder of Marshall, Deborah Cooper of Paragould, Paula Marie Cooper of Marshall and James Riley Cooper of Marshall; his grandchildren, Brooke Arkless-Myers (Rueben) of Paragould, Carly Bearden (Steven) of Paragould, Rhett Cooper of Marshall and Westan Cooper of Marshall; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne Rains, Blue Crider, Madison Thompson, Gage Thompson, Brayden Thompson, Juliana Avila, Gretchen Myers and Rueben Myers; and his siblings, Helen Horton of Marshall, Gorman Cooper of Marshall and Norma Barger of Quitman. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
