He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Carroll Ward and Essie Ann Treat Ward; his grandson Richie Scott Drewry; his siblings, Ross Ward, Duell Mainord, Geraldine Latinette and Maudie England; and the mother of his children Betty Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Blair Ward; his children, Rita Blair (Joe) of St. Joe, Mitzi Dakopolos (Dave) of Diamond City, Peggy Wiatt (Mark) of Harrison and Steven Ward of Diamond City; his siblings, Bonnie Jean Drewry of Tilly and Joe Dale Ward of Marshall; and his nieces and nephews, Eddie Ward and Susan Dees of Choctaw. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
