It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Jones of Marshall, Arkansas, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Taylor DePriest and Ercy Gertrude Scott DePriest; the father of her children Randy Jones; her grandson Alan DeForest; her brothers, John Taylor DePriest Jr., Frank DePriest and James DePriest; and her uncle Buster Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Jeremiah Jones of Marshall, Dalby Jones (Casey) of Marshall, Lisa Stewart (Paul) of Harrison, Tonya Bazany of Marshall and Randi Jones of Little Rock; her grandchildren, Dax Jones of Marshall, Kenzi Jones of Marshall, Kylee Jones of Cotter, Nick Jones (Lindsay) of Marshall, Sara Milholland (Eddie) of Marshall, Kane DeForest of Wichita, KS, Miranda Bazany of Boston, MA, Shawn Bazany of San Antonio, TX and Levi Garcia (Traci) of Ore City, TX; and her siblings, Ronald DePriest (Von) of Wichita, KS, Joyce Penrod of Texarkana, TX, June DePriest of Harrison and Connie Thomas of Mulvane, KS. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Roller Coffman Funeral Home (923 US-65, Marshall, AR 72650). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
