He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Carroll and Itha Shewmaker Carroll; and his siblings, Tommy Carroll, Nelson Carroll and Vanatta Bowery.

He is survived by: his wife Rheta Sanford Carroll; his children, Bradley Carroll of Knoxville, Tennessee and Kimberly Taylor (John) of Jonesboro; his granddaughters, Hannah Taylor of Jonesboro and Abby Taylor of Jonesboro; his sisters, Carolyn Gibson (Bill) of Marmaduke and Marilyn Price of Lafe; and his nephews, Eric Price, Kenny Walker, Timmy Walker, Russell Carroll, Darrell Carroll and Justin Snyder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
