Justin Craig May Toone Obituary
Justin Craig May Toone, 35, of Marmaduke, Arkansas passed away on October 10, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on April 24, 1987 in Paragould, Arkansas to Mark and Michele May Toone.
He was of the Baptist Faith and loved being around family and friends. He was a fireman for twelve years in Marmaduke, Arkansas and a total of twenty years as a firefighter and received the following awards: The Dennis Payne "Poe" Award in 2000, firefighter of the year in 2019 and Life Saving Valor Award on December 1, 2021. He enjoyed dirt tracking racing, fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include; his parents: Mark and Michele Toone of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one daughter: Maddisyn May of Monette, Arkansas; one brother: Matthew Pruett of Marmaduke, Arkansas; grandmother: Glenda Fay May of Paragould, Arkansas; one grandfather: Harold Toone of Marmaduke, Arkansas; three aunts: Cindy Toone of Marmaduke, Arkansas, Letitia Baldwin (Mitchell) of Paragould, Arkansas, and Tina Harrelson (Steve) of Paragould, Arkansas; one uncle: Robert May (Monavee) of Paragould, Arkansas; one nephew: Larry Freeman of Paragould, Arkansas; two great aunts: Kaye Garthwait and Martie Mason both of Michigan; one great uncle: Jerry Mears of Michigan; several very special cousins; special friends: Nicki McDowell, Dustin Estes, Tisha Roswell, Tonya Thompson, Chris Keasler, Dave Brittingham, Joe and Mykia Bateman, Paul and Heather McQuay; special people Alisha Seruya (hospice nurse) the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House and all the staff there, and all other hospice nurses; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by; one grandmother: Emma Lou Toone; one great-grandfather: Herman Mears; and one great-grandmother: Ollie Mears.
Pallbearers: Matt Pruett, Nicki McDowell, Shane Baldwin, Aiden Baldwin, Paul McQuay, and Chris Kesler. Honorary pallbearers: Marmaduke Fire Department.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Bro. Kim Bridges and Bill Muse officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery, Marmaduke, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and Marmaduke First Baptist Church.
