Bobby Joe Carter Obituary
Bobby Joe Carter, 80, of Marmaduke, Arkansas, passed away on February 10, 2025 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould, Arkansas. He was born on March 27, 1944 in Monette, Arkansas, to Reo and Lorene Bynum Carter. He was a pastor at Bethel Baptist Church for nineteen years and a former member of White Oak Baptist Church. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include; one daughter: Melissa Vinson (Larry) of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one grandson: Ethan Vinson (Elizabeth) of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one sister: Patsy Merrell (Calvin); four brothers: Gary Carter (Judy), Roger Carter, Tony Carter (Angie), Lucky Carter (Shyla); and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by; his wife: Lou Carter; one daughter: Tracy Carter; his parents: Reo and Lorene Carter; and five brothers: Clifton Carter, Billy Carter, Donnie Carter, Nicky Carter, and Ricky Carter.
Pallbearers: Elijah Carter, Zach Carter, Luke Carter, Michael Carter, and Daniel Carter. Honorary Pallbearers: Nicolas Carter, Mark Carter, Josh Carter, Kim Carter, Kyle Carter, and Allen Merrell.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life United Pentecostal Church, 704 S. Hickman Street, Rector, Arkansas with Cliff Carter and Bro. Phil LaRu officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery, Marmaduke, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
